Jiří Menzel passed away four years ago, but his work and legacy remain. The Jiří Menzel Endowment Found is still in operation. The family and friends remember. The memorial sites have been redecorated. This time, the Bubeníčková Floral Studio produced decorations for both the house and the grave at Vyšehrad Cemetery. It is thematically connected with his film Closely Watched Trains. We hope that on this occasion, you will also remember Jiří Menzel.

Here's just a snippet of his wife Olga's touching remembrance: ".... When I look at our last photos together... You can see nothing but love in them. Love without conditions. What will we have left at the end of our lives and what is really important? It's not the potential belongings and valuables, but the closest loved ones who hug us, hold our hand, and don't ever leave us alone. To be there for the other person when he or she needs us. That which is real and true, through which you recognize where you stand in life. The closeness and the presence of your loved ones who either are or not.
We were darn lucky to have found each other in life. That's what you've always used to say.
