Rudolf Jelínek
We are honored to say that the Jiří Menzel Foundation could financially support Rudolf Jelínek and his wife Martina during his last and difficult time in taking care of him.
There are people who never really go away because they have left behind a legacy that endures. In Rudolph's case, it is close to two hundred movies, the memories of his stage performances, and his voice in dubbed films. Rudolf was a beloved member of the Vinohrady Theatre and it was there that he met director Jiří Menzel. Their life paths crossed many times. Whether in productions directed by Jiří, such as Jacobowski and the Colonel, or in the film I Served the King of England, where Jiří offered Rudolf the role of a stockbroker. Rudolf was also a delightful companion during the Menzels' visits to his home in Jílové u Prahy.
